When it all began
Blogging. When it all began, it was so easy to blog everyday... And although u were exposing yourself to the whole global community who has access to the internet, u don't feel like u are being too expressive or too open about your life. But something in me has changed and I don't feel like blogging every single detail of my life anymore! So i haven't blogged in the past 2 weeks or so since Schiz left. I have been recuperating as well. (Still missing you like crazy though) In my (hopefully) final year of Uni, I am excited but scared. I think more excited though. Finally, I think i am going to try to live up to the dreams that I have held on to. I think it's one of those dreams that are SO extreme, that are close to impossible to happening, that u don't have to feel humiliated if you don't get it. So i am going to put every inch of my soul into it, and try to make these crazy dreams of mine come true. In the process of doing that, I hope to make true another dream of mine that involves some'thing' that began 6 years ago. The passion is still burning, and it doesn't look like it's going to extinguish anytime soon. Anyway, thought I would let my buddies in Sing know what I am up to. Miss you all very much, and hope all is well. Though I hope to see you all soon, know that I am well and healthy (sorta, bit sick right now!), and very very happy, despite being far away from most of the people i love!

"Don't Need The Sun To Shine" - Perfect 10 Days

Disneyland, Disneysea

Tocho, Kugayama, Roppongi

don't need the sun to shine to make me smile
don't give if it's dark outside
cause i got you
and though the rain my fall
no i won't care at all
cause baby, i know that i got you
don't need a rocket man
to help me touch the sky
i don't need to fly a plane
to get this high
don't need to hitch a ride
when i could run a million miles
yes i would, just to see you smile!

Ghibli Museum

On the 15th of Sept. I went to Ghibli Museum near Kichijouji/Mitaka with Yuka and Aya, and it was a lot more interesting and fascinating than I expected it to be! I really shouldn't have any preconceived notions of anything ever again! I regretted them the moment I walked in, really. We spent about 3 hours there. Toku shitane!
Anyway, Miyazaki Hayao is the artist on display in this museum. He has illustrated and created for movies such as "Tonari no Totoro", "Majo no Takkuyubin" and "Spirited Away", "Howl's Moving Castle"... but I swear, although some of these movies are bloody fantastic (i love the first 3!, and they are unfortunately the only ones i have watched), it doesn't do justice to his works.... I think it does to an extent, but not completely. I mean, his drawings are just beautiful (there was a gallery consisting of four small rooms, all walls covered in drawings!)... and what's more I just was bewildered by his research behind every single drawing... The photos he has taken, and collected in a scrapbook. The poems about Love, and about Sin, quotations by Popes, Shakespeare, Wilde, are all part of the research that goes into each and every moment that he illustrates... It was incredible. I mean, the guy reads book after book about gardens, aquariums, horses and the way they move, he has an encyclopedia on PERSPECTIVE, and about colour, and in French, Japanese, English.... Anyway, a lot of people I know respect him, and have respected him for many years, crediting his genius... But I only just really discovered the qualities of this guy the other day so I needed an entire blog entry to go on and on and on about him. He is an amazing artist, and I am a new fan club member.
P.S Yuka and Aya in the Jungle above!

The Perfect Grand Slam Part 2
Okay, so I am back... and bewildered by today's unfolding events.
I was blogging and beginning to tell you just how I was starting to realise the void that has been created by the absence of my close friends who left for the States and for England recently... And then moments after, seriously, right after writing that sentence, Ayako was standing on my doorstep, and my mum was laughing behind the kitchen door. I was INCREDIBLY surprised. Surprised at the fact that yes AYAKO was standing there, but I think more by the fact that my mum is SO good at keeping a secret from me! (probably not, Ayako did good!) I think today did show how far wishful thinking really takes you! Because I really wanted her to be back! and ta daaaaaaaa... I am awfully lucky, because I know that this month is going to be the best month this year, esp. with Schiz coming soon, and also with the perfect grand slam that just passed.
Two of my FAVOURITE players took home the US OPEN trophy this year, and it was worth waking up early morning to catch them. CLIJSTERS - my favourite player for years now take home her 1st grand slam! She inspires me TO DREAM. TO DO YOUR BEST. and TO KEEP ON FIGHTING NO MATTER THE ODDS. Seriously!

And then there is Federer who I also love. He is truly unbeatable. And although I know some ppl were seriously cheering for Agassi (particular Gill right D?! hehe) I was incredibly happy with Fed taking home the trophy once again! You gotta agree with me. He deserves it, fair and square.

This summer thus far has been perfect for me. I saw my closest friends in Sing, I hung out loads with my family
(right: hanging out with my sis at Disneysea), a friend I said goodbye to came back (even if only for a day!), and T.L.O.M.L is coming. Today I caught up with Ayako, and I did good in Dance (YES). Tomorrow, I am meeting up with more friends to chat, to catch up, and also going for lunch with my grandparents. I don't know what the few days after that will bring, but I know that it's going to be good because September 2005 is going to be just like my perfect Grand Slam not like September of 4 years ago. We all have our times of ups and our moments of very low downs. I hope that all of you are well and having plenty of ups.

The Perfect Grand Slam
So it's almost been a WHOLE MONTH since I last blogged, which is a really long time actually... There is no excuse for it really, as I have been doing nothing much except for watching the news, sorting out music, surfing for part time jobs, emailing, doing some reading, and watching tv... During my time away however so much has happened, both personal and on a global scale, both good and unfortunately bad.
On a personal scale, it is beginning to sink in more and more that two of my good friends have indeed left Japan, and there is somewhat a void because of that. OKAY MAJOR BREAK! Ayako is HERE! AYAKO. IS. HERE.
SO I am going to be back later!
